Flower o' the Quince by Henry Harland

Aristocrat Theodore Vellan returns from Panama after suddenly and mysteriously disappearing 30 years before.

American novelist Henry Harland (1861 – 1905) initially wrote highly sensational stories under a pseudonym, but once he moved to London in 1890 he began writing under his own name and, in 1894, became the founding editor of The Yellow Book and wrote many short story collections. He finally achieved widespread recognition with The Cardinal’s Snuff-box (1900).  Find out more at Henry Harland Biography
